Founded in 1994 in Porto Alegre, Brazil by Beatriz Willhelm Dockhorn – nickname Bia, Bia Brazil was created to meet a need in the market and the founder herself: authentic pieces for sports that beautiful, comfortable and functional.
A Brazilian champion of artistic gymnastics in the 80’s, the sport always had an important part of Beatriz’s life. Passionate about fashion, a graduate in Physical Education and Administration, Bia produced the first collections in her own home. The brand was part of several regional fashion shows and beauty pageants, like Summer Girl, Donna da Capa, Donna Fashion, Miss Rio Grande do Sul and Miss Brazil.
Just two years after its launched, the brand had its first international sales, becoming the first Brazilian micro enterprise to export.
Since then, the presence in the foreign market has only increased, and today the brand can be found in more than 60 countries.
